Peanut Chutney

Ingredients:
  • Roasted and skinned peanuts - 1/2 cup 
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 4 cloves 
  • Red chillies - 2 
  • Tamarind - 1/2 lemon sized 
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, a pinch 
  • Oil, 1 tbsp 
Method:
  • Heat oil, fry onions, garlic and red chillies until the onions are soft and slightly browned
  • Add the peanuts, tamarind, salt and sugar and cook for another minute 
  • Blend together to make a fine paste
  • Serve with hot dosa or idli 
Note: This chutney can be refrigerated and served cold the next day
